| AerationThere are many benefits of aerating your lawn. The first is an increase in the growth rate of the grass, thus, improving its ability to with stand an recover from any pedestrian use, as well as increasing the ability of water and fertilizer to penetrate to the grasses roots. Aeration also improves root growth activity which contributes to the strength and health of the grass and it enables the bacteria present in the soil to break down and decompose the thatch layer which increases the soils ability to hold sufficient amounts of moisture between watering. Because of all these benefits we do recommend aeration twice a season: one in the spring and once in the fall. |
